On Sunday to Shakhrisabz and Urgut

Description: Cultural and educational tour to Shakhrisabz - homeland of Amir Temur, visit to monuments of history and medieval architecture. By the way - check in for a visit Urgut ancient platan groves and the famous Sunday market. Tour specially designed visitors to the city that have a day off for a better acquaintance with the country.

Route: Samarkand Shakhrisabz-Urgut-Samarkand.

07:00 - Transfer from the hotel in Samarkand.

07:30 - Departure to Urgut.

08:30 - Arrival in Urgut.

Urgut - the old town at the foot of the Zeravshan Range, which is known as a major center of traditional crafts.

Visit the Sunday bazaar of crafts products, where you can buy carpets, hand embroidery ("kashidas", "Suzanne"), national clothes and leather shoes, jewelry, art products made of metal, ceramics, wood. Here, working blacksmith, tin shops, stores of clothing.

11:30 - 12:30 - Visit to the unique millennial Chinar (platan) grove in Urgut.

12:30 - Departure to Shahrisabz.

The road goes through to Shakhrisabz picturesque gorges and passes of Zeravshan Range. The highest point on the road - pass Takhtakaracha, offering spectacular views of the foothills of the valley.

13:30 - 14:30 - Lunch in the mountains, in the restaurant "Ming Chinor."

15:00 - Arrival in Shahrisabz.

15:00 - 17:30 - Sightseeing tour in Shakhrisabz ("Green City") - the homeland of Amir Temur, during which you will learn about the historical monuments of this ancient city - Ak-Saray (XIV-XV c.) - a grand chateau of Temur; Complex Dor-us Saodat ("place of power") (XIV-XVI c.), where the tomb of Temur's sons - Jahangir and Umar; Complex Dor-us Tilovat ("Place of reflection and contemplation") (XIV c.) - mausoleum of Temur’s spiritual guide - Sheikh Shamseddin Kulol, where buried Timur’s father - Amir Taragai; Gumbazi Saiydon (XV c.) - mausoleum (makbarat) of Ulugbek descendants; Congregational mosque Kuk Gumbaz (XV c.).

17:30 - Departure back to Samarkand.

18:30 - Arrival in Samarkand.
