Description: A fascinating cultural and educational tour from Tashkent to Samarkand - one of the oldest cities in the world, visiting historical monuments and masterpieces of medieval architecture. Tour specially designed visitors to our country that have days off, such as this weekend, for a better acquaintance with the country.

Route: Tashkent-Samarkand-Tashkent

Day 1: Tashkent-Samarkand (355 km, train)

06:00/07:00 - Gathering at the Tashkent station.

07:00/08:00 - Departure to Samarkand by express train "Afrasiab."

09:30/10:30 - Arrival in Samarkand.

Start Sightseeing Program:

Samarkand - "Shining face of the Earth," "Rome of the East", one of the oldest cities in the world, the heart of the ancient Sogdiana and the capital of powerful Tamerlane empire. In the excursion program:  Ulugbek Observatory - the pride of Ulugbek, ruler and a great scientist, a grandson of Timur; Mausoleum Doniyor Paygambar (St.Daniel), revered by both Muslims and Christians and Jews; History Museum in the ancient city Afrasiab (VIII c. BC).

13:00 - 14:00 Lunch.

14:00 - 19:00 - Continuation of excursion:

Gur-Emir Mausoleum (XIV-XV c.) - Timurids dynasty tomb; Registan Square: Ulugbek Madrassah (XV c.), Sherdor Madrassah (XVII c.) and Tilla Kori Madrassah (XVII c.) - a masterpiece of medieval architecture and the main symbol Samarkand; Bibi Honim Mosque (XIV c.), conceived by Timur as the largest mosque built in honor of his beloved wife; Khazrati Hyzr Mosque (XIX c.) – the oldest mosque at Samarkand; Mausoleum complex Shahi-Zinda (XI-XV c.) – necropolis, consisting of more than 20 unique mausoleums of different times of construction. Shahi Zinda - a whole street of the medieval town, which is preserved to this day, where lies the oldest buildings in Samarkand.

Visiting Craft workshop (by guests choice - hand carpets, ceramics, paper shop, textile workshop).

Dinner at the National House.


Day 2: Samarkand-Hartang-Samarkand-Tashkent (50 km, car/van/coach; 355 km, train)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Start excursion to Hartang and Urgut.

Drive to Hartang (25 km).

In Hartang visiting Mausoleum complex Imam Al Bukhari. Imam Al-Bukhari - the greatest figure in Islam, the famous theologian of IX century. He - the author of "Al-Jami al-Sahih" - the first collection of authentic “hadith”, which is the second largest Muslim book after the Koran.

Return to Samarkand.

Seen Siab bazaar - the busiest and most ancient market town where you can go shopping and learn what real oriental bazaar. Market maintained its unforgettable color and atmosphere, surprising tourists with its colorful, variety of products and goods. Here you can taste and buy the famous Samarkand bread, oriental sweets, spices, fresh fruits, nuts and dried fruits.


Free time.

16:00/17:00 - Transfer to the Samarkand train station.

17:00/18:00 - Departure back to Tashkent by express train "Afrasiab."

19:40/20:40 - Arrival in Tashkent. End of tour.
