Tashkent TV Tower

TV Tower of Tashkent is one of the tallest structures of its kind in Central Asia. Its height is 375 meters. Tower was built during the six years since 1978. She was put into operation 15 January 1985. In the silhouette of the city was inscribed light and delicate tower has become a symbol of high technical and cultural standards of Uzbekistan.

The authors of the project are the architects N.G. Terziev-Tsarukov and Y.L. Semashko, engineers have designed a tower E.P. Morozov, M.D. Musheyev.

At the time of commissioning Tashkent television tower height was fourth in the world. And today, after almost twenty years, our tower is on the honor ninth place and is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers of the world. With a height of 375 meters, it is the tallest tower in Central Asia and is second in height after the Ostankino Tower (Moscow, Russia) among the CIS states.

In addition to size, our TV tower distinguish the unique architectural, engineering and artistic decisions, and this despite the fact that it is built in a zone of high seismic activity. The unique engineering solution allowed to run in the metal (by the way, the German plants, recycled Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant) complex architectural composition of lattice and solid-wall structures.

Tashkent television tower as a unique architectural structure is the object of visiting the residents and guests. Reception provides excursion service. Guides in a professional manner give tours about the history of the tower and things to do in Tashkent, in Uzbek, Russian and English. To lift the visitors on the tower are three-speed elevator company "Schindler" in a few seconds picking up people at a height of 100 meters.

From the observation deck visitors to ascend to the restaurant "Koinot", where two comfortable halls of the restaurant - a national "Blue" and European "Red", can take 120 visitors simultaneously. And here, sitting at tables beautifully served, rotating around its axis at an altitude of 120 m, for 1 hour, visitors can enjoy again the beautiful panorama of Tashkent.
